Why You Need a Coach
Listen, if traditional diets worked we would all be effortlessly thrilled with our bodies. If someone could just tell you exactly what to eat, at what times, in the perfect combinations, and in the ideal amounts…and if you could take that plan and *actually follow it* consistently, no matter what life threw your way, you wouldn’t need a weight loss coach.
The problem is, very few of us can actually do that. Sustainably. Without deprivation. For as long as it takes to get to our goal weight.
We’ve all tested this theory many times over, right? Weight Watchers, South Beach, Keto, Atkins, Paleo…if any of these were possible to sustain, we would have simply stuck to them until we reached our goals, no problem.
I couldn’t. Most of us can’t.
That’s where a coach comes in.
A weight loss coach teaches you a few easy tools to take back control over food, provides accountability until you gain the skills to have your own back, empowers you to create a custom-designed food plan that you actually *want* to follow, and then coaches you around ALLLLL the drama that your brain will throw at you when you start to implement those tools and follow that plan.
Ever had thoughts like these?
· I can’t possibly lose weight with this much stress in my life
· Weight loss is harder for me because I love food so much
· I just don’t have the willpower other people have
· My job/kids/obligations take up too much of my brain space – there’s nothing left for weight loss
· Eating is the only way I know how to manage difficult feelings
· Food is my joy
Yep, me too. Until a coach showed me that absolutely none of these thoughts are true.
Every single one of these statements is an optional thought that will stop your weight loss effort dead in its tracks.
When I learned how to replace these toxic thoughts with ones that worked for me rather than against me, my weight loss took off like crazy. THAT’S the magic of coaching.
It’s not easy to stick to any weight loss plan, particularly those that take away all the foods you love, leave you starving between meals, and provide zero guidance and emotional support for when the inevitable challenges start to roll in.
But when you figure how to lose weight in a way that includes all the foods you love, without starving or deprivation, without the full-time job of shopping/prepping/weighing/measuring/counting/tracking, and WITH a dedicated coach who has your back and will support you every step of the way, weight loss IS attainable….and maybe even a little fun.
