Subvert Diet Mentality - Eat What You Crave and Lose Weight Anyway
Consider all the food you THINK you need to cut out or restrict in order to lose weight:
· Sugar
· Flour
· Gluten
· Carbs
· Dairy
· Alcohol
· High-calorie
· High-fat
· High-salt
We could go on and on, right?
The diet industry has told you your entire life that you need to cut these foods out in order to lose weight.
Which, as a food lover, means that you have to suffer in order to lose weight. You have to suffer, stress, sacrifice, and starve.
But I’m here to tell you that the diet industry is dead wrong.
In fact, you NEED to eat the exact foods you crave – the very foods you love and that your body asks for again and again – in order to sustain weight loss over time.
I’ll say it louder for the people in the back. Deprivation doesn’t work. Restriction is not sustainable. Denying yourself the foods your body demands CAUSES out of control eating.
The more you eat the foods you truly love (after I teach you to do it with authority and control) the more you discover that these foods hold no power over you.
Restrictive diets cause food obsession and “addiction”, NOT the other way around.
The more permission you give yourself to enjoy the shit out of the foods you really want instead of all those fat-free, sugar-free, enjoyment-free Frankenfoods you’ve been told you need to eat if you ever hope to lose weight, the more you reclaim your power over food and your weight loss.
