Was Thanksgiving a Sh*tshow? How to get back on track

If you celebrated Thanksgiving, how did it go for you?

If you navigated the holiday with ease, make sure you take a few minutes to think about how YOU created that success. You'll want to remember what worked so you can repeat it for the rest of the holiday season.

Ask yourself questions like:

What was I telling myself that kept me from overeating?

How did I feel after I let the urge to overeat pass?

What was the best part of saying no?

Reflecting on the thoughts, feelings, and actions that led to your success will help cement those behaviors for future use.

And, listen, if your holiday (and the days that followed) were a total sh*tshow, a lot of us are right there with you. Even if you didn't go totally off the rails, you may have had a more indulgent week than usual.

Missteps and setbacks are NORMAL. They don’t have to stand between you and your weight loss.

Here are some powerful questions you can ask yourself to get right back on track starting NOW:

“What's my next best decision?"

Anything you ate over the last few days is now officially in the past - let it go and focus on what you can do today.

“If I could make weight loss easy today, what would I try?”

This little question shuts down unhelpful thoughts about what may have happened over the holiday and instead puts your brain to work on finding restriction-free weight loss solutions.

“What would more balance look like today?”

I bet you can find a way to add in a couple of extra veggies or fruits, drink just 8oz more of water than you did yesterday, or head to bed just a little bit earlier. Weight loss doesn't have to be hard. small changes made persistently over time compound into BIG results.

No matter what happened over the last week, you're in total control of today AND the rest of the holiday season.
